India is known for its religious beliefs and is colored with different colors of culture. It is a country with temples around the corner, with religious hums ringing in the air. The country has some of the most renowned religious places and holy rivers. One can cleanse their sins by taking a dip in the holy rivers here. 

Some of the cities are a must-go when it comes to a spiritual cleanse and a religious rejuvenation. Below listed are a few cities that one needs to add to their travel list:

Puri: 

This is one of the sites popular for Char Dham. It is a beach city which has been renowned for Jagannath Temple and is famously known as Lord Shiva’s resting place. This city is situated along the coastline of the vast Bay of Bengal. This is one of the most famous monuments that are present in Odisha. This temple was built by a very famous King belonging to the Ganga Dynasty named, AnantaVarmanChodaganga Deva. The temple dates back to the 12th Century and is dedicated to Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadraand Devi Subhadra.

This is the temple that hosts the famous RathYatra, which is one of the biggest festivals that take place in Odisha. 
Mt. Abu:
The most important attraction Mt. Abu enjoys the geographical advantage of being the only hill station that is present in Rajasthan. In the otherwise hot climate of Rajasthan, this city observes a rather cool atmosphere. This city is a traveler’s delight filled with architectural brilliant pieces. 
Not only the architecture and history, the city is also abundant with natural beauty. There are a number of natural lakes that one should visit and also has several points that one can enjoy. Srisailam:
Located at just 216.8kms away from the corporate world of Hyderabad, the city of Srisailam is a very famous hill station with its beautiful natural backdrop. Located on the banks of Krishna River, this is another temple town that is present in India. Apart from the temples, the city is also known for its natural beauty and the wildlife.
