1.Lectureship in Government and Government aided universities
The most common and sought after career option is that of teaching. You can finish your masters and then give your UGC NET exam to be eligible for lectureship. People in this job generally don't have more than 20 years' experience. Experience has a moderate effect on income for this job.
Average salary- Ranges from Rs. 55,000 p.m. to Rs.1, 05,000p.m.

2. Civil Services

Civil services are another option available at your disposal, which is highly competitive. You have to crack the UPSC exam to enter the civil services. Many English language students have successfully secured higher ranks in civil service exams. It is highly competitive field, where you may have to completely focus on your studies for a year to be able to clear it. For civil services you can apply at both state and central level, and again with structured approach and proper guidance you will be able to clear it. 3. Probationary Officer in Nationalized Banks
PO’s are selected after clearing the prelims and mains written exams and successfully overcoming the personal interview round. The officers then are posted to the participatory banks around the nation and are kept for a probation period of at least 2 years. After completing probation they come on a position of Assistant Managers
Average Salary- At the time of joining Rs 30,000 p.m. After completing probation of 2 year it becomes Rs.37, 000 p.m.

4.Government School Teacher
After post-graduation you have to start your preparation for CTET & TET. At present, CTET has become a compulsory certificate for the selection as a teacher. Many of Private/Public School has also made CTET certificate compulsory eligibility criteria for the selection as a teacher. There are many vacancies for teachers post in various government schools.

Average salary- Rs.3, 01,462 per year.

5. Indian Armed Forces
Entry to Indian Armed forces is through CDS Exam. CDS or combined defense services exam is conducted by UPSC twice a year. CDS is just like NDA & only difference is CDS is for graduates and NDA is for 10+2. Your job can be challenging depending upon which type of armed force you join. Selected candidates take up ranks in the Army. Your job can be very tough and disciplined so you have to prepare yourself for it.
Average salary- Rs. 68000 p.m. (starting salary of a Lieutenant)
